UNACCUSTOMED AS I AM...

Blowing one's own trumpet is not something the British are comfortable with. I'm just posting this as a news item, okay? :)

Liz,
blow that trumpet long and hard!!!
I'm thrilled for you, and Mattie's story is thoroughly deserving of the RITA. It's one of my all-time Romance faves :)
And don't worry about that trumpet. I've picked it up and run with it at my blog too :)
You so deserve it!

In this case, dear Liz, blowing your own trumpet is not just appropriate - it's compulsory!

CONGRATULATIONS

And I've been trumpeting for you - and Marion Lennox - over on my blog too. If a trumpet's worth blowing, it's worth blowing loudly in as many places as possible

I am so so happy for you

Congratulations, Liz. I haven't read the book but having briefly met you at an RNA conference and knowing what a nice person you are, I am sure that the award is well deserved.

Liz, I can almost imagine Matty sitting there with a smug smile on her face saying, "See? I told you it would be a good story."

Just goes to show what a memorable character she is.

Big hugs and mega congratualtions.

You definitely deserve it.
(we all need to blow our trumpets once in a while)

Your work has always kept me in awe, and has inspired me to make an honest effort at writing too.

Thank you and my sincere congratulations.

Huge, huge, HUGE, H-U-G-E congratulations, Liz!

It's strange that we find blowing our trumpets so diffiult because there are times when we have every reason to be proud of what we've achieved, and this is certainly one of those times for you.

Actually, Sharon, the big story with the Rita was that the books very nearly didn't make it. If it hadn't been for my ed Fedexing another five copies on the day before they were due in Texas, I'd have been toast.

Nil for the post office.
One hundred percent for the lovely Jo Carr.
