The garden...

I wish I'd taken some photographs of the garden when we moved in so that you could see how much we've done. We've waiting for some serious summer so that the flowers make a bit of an effort, but this is where we are so far.

This was earlier in the spring.
The gothic window had just been finished and we'd just started planting.

This was it earlier this week with the honeysuckles about to come into flower.
The rose we plant underneath it is just coming into bud.

And the little standard willow is now in leaf.

The Nelly Moser is just a baby, but she's beginning to put on a show.

And here's the best beloved creating a heart-shaped raised bed for my birthday.

And the finished job. Isn't it gorgeous!

I'm now surrounded by gardening books, planning the planting!

Wow to the gothic window and also the raised heart bed! Best beloved indeed! When you are finished it will be something to put in a home and garden magazine, I'm sure! Janice

Looks wonderful - I am especially envious of the heart-shaped bed, but I have wanted that gothic window ever since you posted the first pictures!

I have the most glorious tree lilies growing in pots - not yet in flower, but they will be heavily perfumed, large-flowered white and pink and yellow and deep pink with brown mottling. [At least 2 bulbs of each and 5 of the white.]

best wishes
