Vivid colour, the scent of herbs and the sun-baked earth. The touch of a man’s lips for the first time in months.
Languorous in the still heat of the early afternoon, lulled by the faint hum of drowsy insects, mesmerised by Matteo’s dark eyes gleaming softly in the shade urging her to this one last pleasure, she leaned forward the inch required to take the grape, closing her lips around it. Oooh...nice!
So evocative...can't wait for Flirting with Italian.
I'm reading this book at the moment. That scene was so evocative, and there are many more that sneak up on you and make you sigh. There is 'another story' that runs in the background to the main characters' romance and it's made me reach for a tissue on occasion. The setting for the book is so vivid, I want to be back in Rome - in fact, anywhere in Italy! Loving the unfolding story and looking forward to how the H&h get their HEA.
Heat wave here! Wow, that was so hot, intense and sensual. Amazing job, Liz :)
That is incredibly sensual!
Loved it...very sensuous. I love scenes like this where sampling food is paired with a current of sexual tension. Nice job :)
Mmm, almost hypnotic in its sensuality. Very nice 6.
I loved the way you describe the grape. Super, sexy six!
Very sensual. Food always amps up the sex appeal, and this snippet is no exception! Great six!!

Sorry I've been an absent blogger, but have been to London to have lunch with fellow authors at an annual get together so haven't been glued to my keyboard this weekend.
London is great, but the best beloved and I agreed that next spring we're definitely going back to Rome.
Meanwhile, I'll be blogging about Italian food, fashion and goodness knows what else over the next few weeks in the run up to the retail release of this book.
