I'M DONE!

I'm done! The book has left the building - although, as always, I woke up realising that I'd missed out something I meant to put in at the end.

Never mind, once my editor has read it, there will be revisions. Between now and then I'll be making little notes about all the things that always occur the minute I have to stop concentrating totally.

I have been struggling - as always - with ideas of a title.

It has a single mother in danger of losing her job and her home; the bad boy who left the area when she was a kid (she was posh, he was poor - times have changed); a donkey (inciting incident, cute meet...); old secrets; four dogs, a one-eyed pony. Oh, and there's the whole fairy godmother thing going on.

Any ideas? Please...

Well done on finishing!

Titles... um, not a clue. But I'm fascinated by the premise!

I'd love an Eat, Pray, Love type title. So far I'm coming up with Cycle, Walk, Dance... which doesn't quite do it!

I'm not an idea person but I love the things you have included in the story. Four dogs , a donkey and a one eyed pony. Sounds as if the single mom has a kid/kids who love/s pets. It's a book I'd love to read. I love books where the hero can step in a save the heroine her kids and her pets.

Kaelee, they're all his animals! But I forgot to mention Tom and Jerry, the heroine's cats. :)

What can I say, I wrote a zoo.

oh, sounds great. And I love how you've thought of something you've forgotten to add. I do that... not that I've a publisher to send stuff off to but you know what I mean ;-)

And now I'm going to sound really bad, but I thought M&B usually chose a title...

Cinderella does Donkey Derby... I'M KIDDING!

Or...as I like to twist original titles; Four Dogs and A Pony ...I'm kidding again.

As you can see I'm not very good at coming up with titles either.

But hopefully I gave you a giggle.

Congrats on finishing, Liz, always a relief!

I'm braindead with titles but love the set up of this!

Donkey cute meet?
Can't wait to read this one!!

Woohoo, Liz! Happy Dance time! A bet you heaved a big sigh of relief!

Wow, a donkey and a one-eyed pony? Hmmm...how about
"A Sparkle in Time".
I don't know but it just hit me when you mentioned there is a fairy godmother involved. Gosh, that sounds like it is going to be a hard one to put a title too. Good luck!

Big giggle, Teresa! Thank you. I have had a few of my titles used - The Best Man & the Brides, The Bachelor's Baby... The ones that do what it says on the tin! And they do like you to at least make an attempt.

I doubt mine - Miss Posh Smartyhat and the Bad Boy - will get past "go".

This one should prove interesting!

The donkey's name is Archie. He's a bit of a bad boy, too!

Actually, Michele, I'm thinking maybe The Bad Boy's Wish might work.

Thank you for the follow on Twitter :) I left some title ideas for you there, but just in case they get swallowed up by the Twitterverse before you can see them, here they are: Modern Magic, Charming Chaos, Enchanted Encore, Love & Other Lunacies, One Wish Granted. This is my 1st view of the Comments page, & I like your suggestion of 'The Bad Boy's Wish'

Thanks so much, Syren. I really like Love & Other Lunacies. I has my little grey cells thinking about a new book, so thanks for that.

Maybe I should be asking you all for the title of a book you'd like to read. :)

Hi Liz:

For your book: I like this title,

A Menagerie of Convenience

For your missing caption: (above)

"I’m a book with legs. I don’t need an editor!"

For you new book; a book I want to read:

“Tender is the Black Moment”

Back to work.

Vince

A book with legs would be fabulous, but I always need an editor. I've had mine for years - dedicated Flirting With Italian to her - and would be lost without her insight.

Cute titles, but nothing negative for Harlequin Romance so the Black Moment would have to go!

Hi Liz,
Dangerous donkey magic. I definately think the word donkey has to be in there. Maybe Donkey's guide to loving. EEEk mabye not. Or how about Dangerous loving. Look forward to seeing what the title is.
