OLD DESIRES

It's always a joy to see a long out of print book make a return appearance and this is a brand new LP library reprint of one of my earlier books.

What if...

What if you were getting on with your life quite happily and then one day a disturbingly attractive stranger knocked on your door and told you that you weren't who you thought you were?  That all your life the people you loved had been lying to you. Shattering your world with old secrets, hidden desires...

How would you react?  Who could you trust?

If you want to read Holly's story, ask at your local library for a copy.

Coming up...

ASK THE AUTHOR...

I invited friends on Facebook to ask me questions about writing and I'll be answering them here starting on Monday.  If you have a question that you're burning to ask an author, then email me on liz at lizfielding dot com - or leave a comment - and I'll do my best to answer.

and...

THE BEAUMONT BRIDES

all three books in the Beaumont Brides trilogy are now available as eBooks at Amazon US, Amazon UK and Amazon, Germany (where, incidentally, some of my books are now available in German). They are also available at Smashwords.

Hi Liz,

I'm reading WILD JUSTICE. I wonder why does Luke want to destroy the Fizz's family....maybe later tonight I'll find out!

It's complicated, Nas and you won't find out until very near the end. :)

Hi Liz:

I’d like to know, if in all your books, you’ve written a story about a ‘little theater or community playhouse’. You know it works.

Just think of all the wonderful conflicts: having the hero and heroine having to ‘act’ the exact opposite as how they feel in real life!

I’d love to see the heroine in the play have to read lines that accuse the hero of things that she is actually doing in real life. Talk about irony.

Surely you’ve done this, I hope.

I want to read it.

Vince

P.S. I’m halfway into “His Runaway Bride” and I’m loving it. I love this theme. But it occurred to me that this 10 year old eBook appears fresh and new exactly like a just published book. There is no difference. Have you considered that you might become your most fierce competition! That people reading your backlist, for their favorite themes, will cut into the sales of your new releases. This just adds to the mix of change.

Hi Vince

I'm glad that His Runaway Bride still reads as fresh as when I wrote it. As for competition, I'm just hoping that newer fans will be glomming my backlist - instant satisfaction and cheaper than paying exorbitant postage for used books on the net.

As for a small theatre book - please fill in the big sigh. Publishers say that readers hate anything to do with the theatre. Wild Justice, in its original short form, was turned down by HMB for exactly that reason.

The odd one or two slip through the net - I remember reading an one published in the early eighties with an actress and director - I have no idea what it was called or who wrote it. But not many. You might enjoy Jan Jones "Stage By Stage" which is full of theatricals and a lot of fun with the great British tradition of Pantomime.

But you're right,it sounds like a lot of fun - I'm thinking Kiss Me Kate!
