ALL I WANT FOR CHRISTMAS!

I've done it! I finally stopped dithering and taken the plunge and bought myself an eReader as an early Christmas present.

I've been thinking about it since this time last year when I saw a Sony eReader at Waterstones in Bath. But it so crowded with Christmas shoppers that I couldn't cope with the crush. But now Mills & Boon have got together with Sony and produced this fabulous pink limited edition version and it's on a special offer at the M&B website. (UK only - sorry!) You also get three ready loaded books, plus a voucher for ten more.

Reader, I clicked!

If you want to check it out, here's a link You'll see it as one of the options on the rolling bar at the top of the page.

How lovely - and excellent that you treated yourself.

I'm tempted but am holding off to see what the new Touch one is like. (I do like touchscreens - my PDA, daughter's DSi, and my flashy new phone. And, as from either this evening or tomorrow evening, DH's iPod...)

Wishing you many happy hours of reading on it.

Just spotted that Waterstones have them at £149.99. Don't you hate it when that happens!

Yeah, hate it when you find it cheaper elsewhwere, but does Waterstone's give you the 10 book voucher and the 3 loaded books? That adds up to a pretty penny (or pound) Srtuff like that happens all the time though and you just have to tell yourself you could have waited and the price could have gone the other way! If you feel you got a deal at what you paid for it then YAY YOU and never mind that it was cheaper somewhere else a few days later...

Absolutely, Snookie. Actually Waterstone are offering a £10 voucher and you can get the free M&B books from everyonesreading.com

But I've been loading it up with books I'd already downloaded to the computer and a few others. Took it to bed last night and read a chapter of Nina Harrington's first book.

Trouble is, I'm now looking the brick that is the third in the Dragon Tattoo trilogy and thinking -- I'd much rather read on this slim, elegant little thing than pick up that!

I'm glad you're enjoying the new toy. I think you'll love it. Have you tried uploading one of your WIPs? I know a few authors who hang out in the eHarl community like to look at their WIPs on their Kindles or Sony readers to get a "fresh" look when critiquing their work.

A bit off topic, but I finally finished listening to the first in the Larsson trilogy. Don't kow if I want to do the next one before Xmas. I'm thinking I'll do something not gritty. But now I know why my b-i-l was chomping at the bit for both the 2nd and 3rd ones.

And also off topic, I think my next listen needs to be from Harlequin Enterprises, b/c I was told on Thursday that I'll now have a monthly blog at audible as part of the partnership between Harlequin and audible. Maybe a Blaze will suit.

Happy xmas if I don't get back in here before then.

I have the silver one and love it to pieces. Although I now wish I had a pretty pink one!
